Scouting, Scouting, Scouting, fun, fun, fun! We finished the last two items of business today for Jon to receive his Wolf and 7, count them 7, which means we did 70 electives to earn 7 arrow heads, one gold and six silver. We did the easiest things we could find in the book which were wrapping a present and learning to tie a necktie for the last two arrow points. He loves scouts. I think Scouts is weird, but at least it gives boys a chance to grow and learn and associate with friends.
I think scouts is REALLY weird and I was in it as a leader for over 5 years so I can say that. It is especially weird when you get the leaders who eat, sleep, and dress scouts 24/7. They even have scout pajamas.
But how great to get that many arrow points. Goodness!!!
Oh scouting, what can I say. I am my happiest when they have their eagle and we don't have to do it anymore. There are some who just love it, I just don't get it. I know they learn a lot, and it teaches them to be responsible, blah, blah, blah whatever.
